Dianne B. Gallagher - Habersham County Board of Education Post 2

CHILDREN FIRST

OUR MOST VALUABLE
RESOURCE

SAFE AND ORDERLY SCHOOLS FOCUSED ON
HIGH STANDARDS OF STUDENT ACHIEVEMENT AND
COMMUNITY VALUES.

I believe that our children are our greatest resource and that the children are America’s greatest hope for the future. I believe that the children of Habersham County deserve the highest quality education available and that Habersham citizens deserve an honest, hard working, and responsive board of education.

The educational needs of children must always be the top priority of the citizens who provide support for public school education and of the school leadership. Our schools must provide students a safe, orderly learning environment that supports ongoing academic achievement and encourages all children to reach their full potential. No child left behind.

Now is the time to continue the valuable educational progress that Habersham County Schools have made during the past eight years by reelecting Dianne Gallagher to the Board of Education, Post 2.

During this time, Habersham education SPLOST funds have been used to build four new education facilities, upgrade all other county school facilities, and pay existing bond obligations on the two middle schools. The voters spoke; the board of education took action; the children of Habersham County benefit now and in the future.

Other needed school facilities can be provided by continuing voter approved SPLOST funds into the future. Dianne Gallagher has served responsibly as vice chairman and chairman of the Habersham County Board of Education during the present facility growth and improvement. Vote to reelect Dianne Gallagher to insure ongoing planning for future needs.

Personal qualifications and leadership skills include more than 35 years certified experience as an exceptional classroom teacher, respected system level administrator, and eight years of dependable board service.

Dianne Gallagher has both the knowledge and experience necessary to provide continued education expertise on the board of education, and, through responsible leadership, will uphold the solid reputation of Habersham County Schools.

Dianne Gallagher is a life long resident of Habersham County, a graduate of South Habersham High School, and holds advanced education degrees from Piedmont College, North Georgia College and Clemson University.

Dianne and her husband of 40 years, Richard, are retired middle school educators who reside in Cornelia and attend Cornelia United Methodist Church. The Gallaghers have two children and seven grand children. Their children are: Jim and Jill Gallagher who reside in Clarkesville and Maria (Gallagher) and Tom Marrero of Alpharetta. Their seven grandchildren (Ashley, Justin, Anna, John Luke, Abby, Jenny and Audrey) range in age from 20 to one year.
