My professional experiences as funeral director and County Coroner
require attention to detail, accurate documentation and a judicial
understanding of County process as well as an understanding of
the needs and concerns of County residents which will only enhance
the position I seek.
I am a product of the Habersham County School System and an honor
graduate of Gupton-Jones College. Complementing my studies I have
completed courses in accounting, business law, psychology, sociology
and business management. Through the office of Coroner I have
studied courtroom procedures, interview techniques, conflict resolution
and communication skills. The Office of Coroner is a judicial
position and requires a careful understanding of inquest procedures,
media relations and budgeting and auditing skills. I have been
a part of the Habersham County budget hearing process for the
past 12 years as mandated by the County. These skills are necessary
for the Office of Clerk of Superior Court.
Habersham County is growing at a rapid pace and I am qualified
to add value to our County process.
Two issues I see as most important to the Office of Clerk of Superior
Court are improved customer service and improved efficiency.
It will be my priority to carry out the duties and responsibilities
of the Clerk of Superior Court in a professional and accountable
manner. My staff and I will work in an accurate, efficient, courteous
and respectful manner. I will not ask my staff to do anything
that I am not willing to do myself. I will be a working Clerk.
The position of Clerk of Superior Court is a full-time position.
I am committed to working the required schedule to meet the needs
of the office. Improvements can be made which will not only benefit
the citizens of this County but also those outside the County
who conduct business or own property in Habersham County.
Effective customer service and efficiency go hand in hand. All
who conduct business with this office deserve to have their vital
information accessible to them in the Clerk’s Office in
a timely and accurately recorded manner. Individuals and businesses
who choose to subscribe to the Superior Court Clerk Cooperative
Authority deserve access to accurately recorded documentation
online.
No office is an island. There are clerks around the state who
are willing to network and share up-to-date technology and information
to enhance the Office of Clerk of Court.
I am prepared to move the office to a higher standard of efficiency
and productivity. I hope you share my commitment to seeing a more
effective Office of Clerk of Superior Court.
